EGG-BAG January

OUR NEXT MEETING -- JANUARY 17, 2007

The Theme: Here, There and Everywhere
Next month--All You Need is Love

MONKEY BUSINESS

The Social Portion of the Meeting brought forward the performance by Joe Tessmer of the " Missing Think"- The spectator thought of a card. Joe gave her 10 plastic sheets with cards printed on them. The spectator selected the sheet that had her cards printed on it. Joe picked the thought of card.

Noland Montgomery preformed "Professor's Nightmare"- Relating it to the job as a spaghetti cutter and the problems he had trying to cut the spaghetti into even pieces.

Larry Lipman was next with "Down Under" The cards were shown to be in a "Helter Skelter" condition. Spectator selected a number and Larry began to count the cards in a down under fashion. He put one card down and the next card went on the bottom of the packet. He continued in this fashion and all of the cards were put into numerical order.

Steve Javes showed us "Surprise Card" where the spectator mentally selects a card from packet; Steve correctly named after he read spectators mind.

Erik Feinberg regaled us with the "Mystery China Box"- The box had two clear cylinders. Marbles of different colors were dropped into cylinders at spectators choice. All marbles ended up in same cylinder. He followed this with "Credit Slasher"- A Credit card put into holder. Tiny sword was pushed through credit card. Card was removed undamaged.

Matt Hiller was nest with "Indy 5 to 1" Matt explained how he went to McDonald's and was given the incorrect change. He was given five 1's and he changed them to five 5's. He offered to teach a spectator to change his bills. Spectator was given a one and folded it into eighths. Matt folded a 5. He placed both into his fist. He appeared to give the spectator the 5, but he actually had the 1 dollar bill.

Lars Klores performed "Nailed"- The spectator selected and signed card. Lars selected a card, and gave the spectator his choice of which card to hold. He then took the remaining card (his) and put it into an envelope that was sealed with tape and stapled to a board. The envelope was cut open and the card inside was the spectator's card that switched places with Lars' card.

Jim Flanigan showed us his version of the "Gemini Twins" – Jim's twins involved Santa and Mrs. Claus. They went to Paris where they ran into his twin brother and her twin sister. This Xmas version had a surprise ending when a magician appeared.

Dwight Redman, the ever vigilant note taker couldn't remember what he did, that is other than taking notes for the meeting and not recording my effect.

Last-minute addition:

COMPEERS,
It has been brought to our attention that although the office of the Vice President is considered the invisible office, our V-P, Hugh Turley, was present at our last meeting and yes he performed. We are told that Hugh Turley did a rather clever bit with a deck of marked backs with catchy words on them. Sorry that we can not go into more detail, but our spies did not get the full story. Sorry for the omission
